cooling energy bills.

That’s why you need Bradford Gold Ceiling and Wall Insulation to keep you home warmer in winter and
cooler in summer.

Bradford’s new range of Gold High Performance insulation has been engineered to provide the highest
levels of thermal performance available so you can choose the level of comfort your family deserves.

Bradford Gold High Performance insulation products boast R-Values of R5.0 and R6.0, the highest level of home insulation available for New Zealand homes. When you select Bradford Gold High Performance for your home you will be helping to create the best possible environment for your family.

We’ve got New Zealand covered

Bradford insulation NZ produces a range of products with different R-values to meet the energy efficiency requirements of the New Zealand building code.

The Building Code provides a minimum standard of home insulation for new homes. For greater comfort and optimal energy savings, Bradford insulation NZ recommends higher levels of home insulation.

Choose the right protection for your home

We have looked at the most common wall and roof constructions and based our recommendations for compliance on the Schedule method, as outlined in NZS 4218:2004.

To determine the right protection for your home, follow these 3 simple steps
1. Choosing your Climate Zone

The New Zealand building code divides New Zealand into three zones which have different insulation requirements.

The changes are being introduced in stages to allow  the industry to gear up.
Zone 3             is all of the South Island and North
                        Island volcanic plateau (all designs
submitted after the 31 Oct 07)

Zone 2             is the rest of the North Island up to
                        Thames-Coromandel and Franklin
                        Counties (all designs submitted after
                        the 30 June 08)

Zone 1             is the remaining North Island not
                        accounted above (all designs
submitted after the 30 Sept 08)

2. Select your ceiling insulation

The minimum R-value is the lowest value insulation you should include in your ceiling in order to comply
with Building code standards. For maximum comfort and energy savings, Bradford suggests that you go
beyond the minimum and install Bradford Gold R6.0 High Performance Insulation.
